Introducing Chef Cameron Zulevic from Kauai, Hawaii. At 34 years of age, Chef Cameron has worked under some of Hawaii’s most esteemed culinary leaders, such as Chef Matt Dela Cruz, Chef Mark Areola, Chef Alex Amorin, and one of the pioneers of Pacific island cuisine, Chef Mark Oyama.
While studying at the Culinary Institute of the Pacific, Cameron began his cooking career at Dukes Canoe Club, where he worked his way up from prep cook to Sous chef.
Taking a year off, Cameron attended Calvary Bible College, where he led the campus/conference centers’ Prep Team while attending classes and sermons. Returning home feeling refreshed and ambitious, he returned to Dukes as well as working a second job at Merrimans, a locally sourced farm-to-table conceptual fine dining restaurant.
“Sharing a meal is more than just satisfying the need to eat. It provokes emotion, a certain feeling that is personal yet universal. It’s a bonding experience with those with whom you share a meal .”
